I would like to have two title appear but at seperate times and end at the same time. here is how i would like to do it:
the first title fades in.
when the first title is fully showing the second title would swing in from the side. when they are both in place they would stay for a second and the both would fade as the transition to next section/picture would begin.
is this possible in VS8?
Anyone know if this is possible in VS8?

seckley,
You can try this: At the point where both titles are on the screen you will have to create a new and third title back to back with the second title.
So, you will have three separate titles all one right after the other.
The second title swings in and once in place and both titles showing, this is where you end the second title and you start your last title.
The last title would have both lines of text if you have only two, and you would fade out both as one.
I know it's a bit confusing, but the key is to have the transistion title in the exact location as the one prior to it so that you don't see any movement in the title when they go from one to the other.
I hope this helps.

another way would be to render the clip twice.
Trouble is you lose text quality. I've found that if you render an avi with a title to avi, and then render that file to MPEG-2, the end quality of the title is significantly worse than rendering from the avi with added title straight to MPEG-2. You might not think that would be the case in theory, but it is in practice.

Hi
And another option
Try using ‘Multiple Titles’
Set ‘Fade in’ with ‘Long Pause’ for the first text line (press the two ‘TT’s’ for more options)
Set ‘Fly’ with ‘No Pause’ for the second line
Reproduce the text clip and place at the end of the first. (drag the clip to the library, then drag back to the timeline)
You now have two identical clips.
Change the animation of the second clip to ‘Fade-out’ with ‘Short Pause’(both text lines)
Hope this Helps
