Hi. I got a new external DVD burner the other day. Please click the link below for the exact burner I got.

When I go to burn a DVD, at the very end after the video converts and stuff, I get an error message right before it is about to burn, something like "there is an error with this burner, try restarting your computer" or something like that. I installed my burner perfectly and it does appear in the drives, it just wont burn! If I have to "create video file" then burn using like Nero or whatever, the quality might be worse. Any help? Thanks.
Matt

Hi Matt,
more information is needed before anyone can assist.
1: have you been able to burn a DVD with any other program? If not you should try, this will help to determine if the problem is just with VS. I see your burner came with another video program (Sonic MyDVD). You mentioned NERO, if you have it try to use it. Using another burning program will not have any impact on the quality of your DVD.
2: have you created a video file first. I know you have said " at the very end after the video converts and stuff..." Does this mean you first created a video file as the recommended procedure indicates and are then using VS burn engine?
3: If you could post the exact error message, that would be helpful
4: There is the possibility that any of the Sonic software that caem with your burner is conflicting with VS, especially any DLA programs. I think RecordNow is a DLA packet writing program.
5: Posting your PCs specs is helpful too
