Hi,
I have a jitter issue that i believe is caused from rendering a DV Encoder Type 1 AVI to Type 2 AVI(before loading it into DVDWS) So i am wondering, if i can load the individual AVI's(Three of the Type 2 and Two of Type 1) if DVDWS' MPEG encoder would compress them each smoothly...or would it convert them all to the same Type?(1 or 2) before making them into MPEG.
Also, this would give me 5 seperate titles. But this would yield a time gap between each title, right? Unfortunately, the order is: Type2,Type1,Type2, Type1, Type2. So its not like i can render two of them together, to save from using less titles. Any ideas? Thanks.
Using both DV Type 1 and Type 2 AVI's in a project
it should handle both types fine -- but like you said, there will be a slight pause between titles during playback...
Ulead has a free dv type convertor at their site (I forget where, but look around at their free goodies download pages).
What editor are you using -- you could just plop them all on the timeline and output one long dv video...

There is no reason for DV1 and DV2 files to have any difference in their videos. The video part of them are strictly identical, all other things being equal (format and field order). Any MPEG encoder will accept them as they are.

That is what is did. I used Adobe Premiere 6.5 and plopped them all in the timeline and made one big AVI(Type2). But the Type 1 sections are the ones the jitter in the big AVI. Yes, i JUST found that free download converter, but nothing happens when i click on the "download now" button(ive tried in both Netscape and IE on two different PC's. I am am trying to see if Adobe has one. Does the download work for you? Thanks
