Hi, I am using Ulead MSP7 with Sony mini DV player GVD-D1000E PAL
I have Win XP SP2
When I am attempting to output my video from computer to the player, it stopes video output (output or video export dosn't work).
Worked fine on my older computer.
A year ago I had same problem with WinXP SP1. to resolve this I had to reinstall windows and reinstall MSP7. I am sure there is another way to fix this problem.
That is exactly why I have the original XP Pro on my dedicated video 'puter, with no SPs. MS have a way of buggering up video work with each new update. That is why I said that you had best search in the MS KB for info, as it can change almost weekly.

I somehow don't think that you can remove SP2. If I remember correctly, it's irreversible. That's why my video machine is still on SP1.
SP1, AFAIK, does have no bearing on large file support. NTFS file system does and you can have that without any SP installed.
Having said all that, I do have a couple of friends who use MSP7 on an XP SP2 machine. As a matter of fact, I just installed MSP 7 on an SP2 partition but haven't used it yet. There were a few peculiar steps I had to take to get the system to recognize my DV cam.
I'll try to reconstruct that and get back with some more info later.
When you say "It stops!" what exactly do you mean? Has the system rendered the transitions etc and started to out put that to tape or does the little window that displays the progress of the file generation stop moving?
The little window will stop and the system appear not to be doing anything when it goes through a section of your video where there is no rendering to be done. You can see the HDD activity though if your system shows that on the front panel. Eventually, the video in the window will also move again and the time display will also update. During a section where there is no rendering to be done, the system could be mistakenly assumed to be dead in the water.
Heinz,
I was talking about large drive support, not large file size support. Windows XP, without SP1, was only able to see 137 Gb of hard drive. If your drive was bigger than that, you needed SP1 to use the full drive.
