Snow ??

Post by randazzo »

In the documentation Ulead mentions a snow particle filter.

Were can I find this? I only saw the rain filter.

I did a search under Video Filters and didn't find snow or fire (which I'm also looking for). Under Help, I only located Snow and Fire under Title Clips.

I attempted to edit the width and length of the rain to get snow. It started off okay, but as the video progressed, it returned to rain.

For some reason they took the snow filter out...and I'm not happy about it either.

As for using shotened rain don't forget to copy the length/width/body etc. setting for the first keyframe to the last else they'll change over time.

Well, Ulead support mentions the snow effect on the titling but I do not think this was intended in the PDF I read before.

PS. Is it really possible to adapt the rain filter to get the appearance of snow? Didn't try that one.

Set the rains length to 1-3 and its width to about 30 +/-. Now mess with the speed, density, variance etc.

OTOH I usually create snow overlays with Cool3D Production Studio. It has a great snow particle effect.

That's really funny Devil.

Thanks Terry. I do not own Cool3 Production Studio.

Thanks, Terry.
I used the 1-3 (3) and the 30 +/- (30) you suggested and it worked fine, but when I copied it from the first keyframe to the last, I got no movement. I'll have to play around with it some more, though.
