Which product of the Ulead family are you using ?

If I split video and audio in VS9 I have no problem of that kind when editing.

Lose Video when trimming audio

I am using videostudio 8. To me when audio is cut so will the video? But I find it hard to believe that would happen because this seems to be a very through program. So what am I doing wrong?

Hi Ron :)

What you need to do is Right-click on your video clip. SelectSplit Audio. This will place the audio portion of your video into the audio track. Now click on the audio track, or the Audio Tab.

Now use the trim handles to trim your audio, and the video will not be trimmed with it.

Hope that helps...:)
