Photo Express 4 custom edition only half works

Photo Express 4 custom edition only half works. I cannot successfully make a cd label and there does not appear to be a calendar function, altho there a lot of info about how good all these functions are, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it seems to install okay but when i try to do anything besides the simplest photo editing nothing works. HELP!
