Video studio 8 audio problem

Post by jamiehoy »

i add an mp3 file into my library and while others work, this one doesn't, it plays normally in real player and windows player but not this program.

Also i own a sony handycam which records onto 8cm DVD+RW disks. I got the video_ts file from it any took the scenes i wanted but when i played them the video was perfect but the sound was gone. How can i get Video studio to play the audio?

I have had occasional problems with mp3 files; sometimes one won't play in Media Player. May be a similar problem. I suggest converting it to a wav file - that's what I tend to do anyway.

The handycam is probably recording the audio in Dolby format. VS8 cannot read this unless you get the addon patch, available from Ulead. Probably better to upgrade to VS9, which can read Dolby easily without needing a patch.
