trimming clips

Hi folks

Have been using MSP8 for a few weeks now so I thought I would check out some operational questions that I have.

I have a problem trimming clips. When I need to see the exact frame on either side of a cut and to adjust either or and then to play that moment to see the effect.

For example two shots of a man swinging a sword at another. When to cut from WS to CU during the swing.

Rather than just blather on about how I do it could you tell me which trim tool you use for this operation and how you would set it up?
