Jerky Slideshow pictures

Post by Ron P. »

Project
  • 5 clips consisting of video and image slideshow.
  • Video clips captured from DV Camcorder, no images mixed in.
  • Images are mixed, digital and scanned, resized to fit 720*480 NTSC format.
  • One slideshow was done in MF4, another using VS9.
  • All video clips were imported DV-AVI, edited, then video file created.
  • Once all editing was done, created DVD importing clips to MF4, added menu template, background music for template, then burned disc.
The slideshow created using MF4, I used fast export create mpeg file brought it back in to add 2 songs, as the slideshow was too long for just one. This was then exported as mpeg, dvd compliant video.
I burned the disc DVD+R, everything worked fine, however I goofed...I forgot to add one video clip.
I had not closed MF4 project to create the DVD so I just went back to the timeline where I could add the clip, and proceeded forward. A second disc was burned. Now comes the problem.
Everything except the slideshow created in MF4, played fine. This slideshow, the last on the disc was terrible. It pulsated, as if in beat with the music. It played fine on the first disc though.<--That's what's puzzling me. I didn't change anything, just added the last video clip.

My entire project I made sure to keep all the properties the same...

Video Clips imported to VS9 and edited:

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
DV Audio -- NTSC, 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo

Share>Create Video File

Video data rate: 6000 kbps
Audio data rate: 224 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

DVD

MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: 6000 kbps
Audio data rate: 256 kbps

Ok does someone see where I goofed? :o or Why the slideshow plays fine the first time and not the second?

Thanks
