I too have an RT.X100/PPro and totally sympathize
Matrox is the one who would have to provide a set of MSPro compatable drivers, and they won't be doing so. The reasons come down to this;
1. the RT.X100 development team is very Premiere oriented. As far as they're concerned other editors don't exist.
2. the RT.X100 is nearing the end of its life cycle. At most I see 1-2 more driver builds before it's retired. As such developing drivers for another platform isn't economically viable.
3. its replacement product, the AXIO, is already out and costs anywhere from $7,500 (SD version) to $11,500 (HD version) USD. Guess where the bux are?
BTW: this info is solid. I'm a former RT.X100 beta.
That said this is what you can do with MSPro 7/8 and the RT.X100;
1. use its IEEE-1394 for DV capture/export
2. use its analog capture drivers for acquiring RGB, YUV or analog DV/DVCAM footage. This requires also having PPro installed along with the RT.X100 drivers so the Video for Windows drivers are active.
3. use the *.tga's it uses for its Organic Wipes in the MSPro MASK transition or in the Pixelan SpiceMaster plugin.
