How to get BEST guality DVD with MF4 ?

Post by Nenad »

My idea of using MF4 was to make high quality dvd of my own recording(to get high quality picture like in any dvd that we can bought in store)

I did not manage to get that.

I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH QUALITY OF RESULTUNG VIDEO.
I CAN SEE ON SOME PART OF VIDEO SGUARES LIKE THAT I WATCH NOT SO QUALITY VIDEO FILE(DivX-rendering Annoyance)

My video file are from DV Camera and import/made by WindowsMovieMaker
as DV-AVI file and in that format picture is OK
setings in MF4 are:
preferences:
resample quality :best
project setings:
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo

What I have done wrong. CAN I GET PICTURE WITHOUT RENDERING ANNOYANCE.

what you share of your settings is OK.
With those you should get DVD quality video.

Tell us more about your target (TV or PC) and your video settings (frame-based, field based)?

What is it you don't like about your results?

As a test, increase MAX variable size

My Sony Camcorder burns directly to DVD using a Max Variable size of 9300 (you said you used 7000).

I made a custom project template that exactly matched my imported clips.
I matched resolution, sound, and the VBR.

The final output looks great. Much better than the original 7000 setting I was using.
