Stability of Media Studio Pro in Widows XP

Post by DSHolloway »

Have only been using V8 for about a couple of weeks and have had numerous crashes. System: Processor X86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9 Intel 3006 Mhz. Graphics Card Matrox Millenium G550, RAM > 1Gb, Available Disc Mem =282Gb, Operating System Win XP Home Edition. Used Version 7 for some time on same set-up without problems. Any ideas please. Crashes occur in various circumstances, editing AVI files, always if I try to bring onto the time line an MPG file, also creating an MPG file (in the create function) etc.
One other feature that I cannot get to grips with is the way effects are now brought onto the same time line as the AVI clips, thought the previous method was OK and easier to edit titles or change effects. E.G. Creating a fade to black at the end of a sequence now requires a pure black colour clip to be inserted then the 'Fade to black' effect, or have I got it wrong?
By-the-way, have just joined the forum so excuse me if I get procedures wrong!

You're in the wrong forum. You need to back to the forum index http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/index.php and post your question in the "MediaStudio Pro" board.
