Unable to capture seperate clips from JVC BR-DV3000u
I am attempting to capture video taken with a Canon XL-2 into Media Studio Pro via a JVC BR-DV3000U deck... Everything was working fine using the "Start From Beginning and Capture" mode... Today I attempted to capture more tapes and the program is capturing the entire tape as a single clip... not as seperate clips when there is a scene change. Have even tried the tapes I did yesterday that captured individually and they too are just capturing as one bigh clip... any suggestions? (All the tapes were recorded in the identical manner)
Which version of MSP? We are not clairvoyant.
Are you trying to split the scenes by timecode or scene change? If the latter, have you changed the sensitivity. Have you scanned before capturing?

Capture Problems with MSP
Sorry about that... I'm not a regular to this site...
I'm using MSP 8.0, DirectX 9.0, JVC-BR-DV3000U deck. Drivers all load properly at start. All programs other than MSP are Off.
I have NOT changed any sensitivity settings (although some suggestions in that area would be welcome). I am using "Scan from beginning and Capture" mode of Scan DV Tape. Have tried using both scene and timeline capture.
I will insert a tape and have it caputure as advertised, clip by clip, only to try the next tape and have it run as one uninterrupted clip for 50 minutes...put the previous "normal" tape in and it now does the same thing.
Tried running the tape into our Focus FS-4 Digital recorder that we now have for our cameras and the scenec were recognized without any problems... tried running tape from FS-4 into JVC... again no problem... tried to run tape into MSP...problem!
