Is it possible for audio to be input though sound card instead of through camcorder mic? I don't want the recorded sound to come from the camera mic. I need it to come from a different source.

You could elect not to capture the audio while capturing and then record your alternate audio separately and add it to the time line. You could also mute the audio on your capture video and add the alternate audio to the voice or music track.

That's the only options I could see. I was hoping that I was missing something.
