I am so unhappy after waited for over a week and still no serial number, when I go into the FAQ, it says that some software may already have it embeded. Which does?
I would not post here if I could get tech support, how do you people register your copy of gif animator and where is the serial number?
Call me dump but I bought many softwares and have never had such experience.
Thank you to anyone who is generous enough to reply.

What you have is the ESD version of the program. If you have the serial number previously registered, you don't have to re-register it using the serial number it auto-generates during the installation. You can check for its serial number during the installation where it auto-generates serial number and you may use it for registration if ever you haven't registered this software yet. Hope this helps.

You mean I have to reinstall to find the serial number? I tried the demo a year ago. All I m trying to find out is will this version of mine expire in 30 days if not registered?
If tis is the case, why not include a readme file to let user know? I find it unexceptable for a software developer like Ulead to be so careless.
No wonder its under face out product. I am a Photoshop Professional but now operating SOHO and don't need such an expensive tool for my 3d work.

Did you get this as an add in with the trial version of PhotoImpact?
Trial versions will stop working after the trial period has expired, that's just the way it is.
If you have bought it separately, why do you worry if it may stop working? It won't if you bought it. You do not have to register full versions, but you can. If you want technical support, the software needs to be registered.
From the early days, I have one ULEAD program (VideoStudio 5 SE) which came bundled with some hardware. I have it registered but it does not have a serial no.
If you want to register it, do it from inside the program, while you have it open. In the Help menu you should find the option "On line registration"
Incidentally, my version of Gif animator came with PI and does not need to be registered separately.
