Future enhancement: a simple suggestion

Many times I need to cut a clip in two at a specific frame. Every time, I have to locate excatly the frame where I want to cut in the Preview window, then I go to the timeline, zoom in (otheriwise it is quite difficult to pinpoint exactly the position of the frame where I want to cut), select the scissor, cut, zoom out, select back the pointer.

It would be so convenient to have in the Preview window a tool "Cut clip at current position".

Additionally, many times I need to remove one or two particular frames because they are corrupted. Just to make it even more useful, it would be nice to have another tool in the Preview Window "Delete next N frames", which prompts the user for how many frames he wants to cut, proposing as default one.

I hope somebody from ULead team is reading this.... It would take half an hour to implement and it would be so useful!!!

Best regards,
Fabio

'cut clip at current position'

That's an excellent idea!

You can do that in MSP 8 pressing the "U" key :)

There are two ways to do the U key trick;

1. press "U" with a clip selected: cuts just the selected clip at that time index.

2. press "U" with NO clip selected: cuts ALL clips at that time index

You do #2 by first clicking on a blank portion of the timeline, which removes all selections.

With Terry's 1., you can also have multiple clips selected, if you want to cut more than 1 and less than all

With Terry's 2., note that it will not work unless all your video and audio tracks are unlocked. You cannot simply lock a track to prevent it being cut.
