Hi There, I am new to these forums so please be gentle! I have searched on these forums for an answer but couldn't find anything so I though I'd post this...
I currently use MSP7 and am thinking about upgrading to v8, what I need to know is can I load my old MSP7 projects into MSP8 ???
Thanks, JJ

You can, but certain features will import badly, especially titles. It is NOT recommended. I suggest you keep your 7.n installation and install MSP8 in a new directory. That way, you keep the best of both worlds. If you really search hard, I've said on this and other forums, many, many times, always finish a 7.n project in 7.n and use 8 for your new projects as being the safest technique.

Actually I was in the same situation -- I started two projects in v. 7 and then imported them into v. 8. Well, I managed to import both of them but one of them, with lots of transitions and files in it, managed to loose links between audio and video in approx. a half of DV files, so I had to delete the tail of that project and re-create it in version 8. While the other one which only contained a long chain of DV files with minimal transitions, had been imported without any problem.
