PS4.0 vs ProShow 2.5 - The choice is obvious
Just a quick update since my PS4.0 debacle. Never did get it to work. Refused the "patch of the day" fix from Ulead and got my money back, well, 80 per cent. Now using ProShow Gold 2.5 and couldn't be happier. Guess what, it's patchless. My first show was 486 pictures and 8 audio clips. I'm running a 2400+ with 512 MB DDR and a Pioneer A09XL DVD-RW. It rendered in 46 minutes and burned the first disk in 6 minutes, all told 57 minutes. After that, I burned 4 more DVD+R at 5-6 minutes, each. Make up your own mind about which application to use. I won't preach my is better than yours. I'm presenting just the facts. You Decide.

I just downloaded the trial version of Proshow 2.5 and I tend to agree with you. Although I've made some extremely nice slideshows with Pictureshow 4, I find the program's instability to be frustrating beyond what I can put in words. If Pictureshow would perform all of it's functions without crashing every few minutes, it would be a superb alternative to Proshow. But I must admit, I like the increased flexibility for panning and zooming is Proshow over that in Pictureshow.
