Just purchased DVD MovieFactory 4. We have created three slideshows and would like to link them together. We also created a audio file that includes more than one song but MF for some reason won't read the file and we don't know why.
We've read some posts we appear to be helpful but don't have the experience to use the information we have because it probably assumes the user has some experience with the program.
I and my wife are very frustrated at the moment with this project. I'm wondering if the program we purchased is not the full version. Don't know how to tell that either.
Any advice would be very kind indeed!

Hi Harlan & Julie
Could you provide more information so that we can help?
What do you mean when you say you want to link the slideshows together, just have them play one after another?
What format are your audio files? Are you trying to add the audio files along with your slideshow? Are you wanting to add the audio as background music for the slideshows?
I don't think that you can have an audio disc on the same disc as a video or image slideshow disc. The audio can be used as background.
There are two versions of DVDMF4.
Movie Factory 4 SE
Movie Factory 4 Disc Creator.
Comparison of the two
When you Launch MF go to the lower left and click on the square page looking button. When you mouse over it you should see a tool tip that says Info Menu. Click on it and a menu similar to a right click menu will appear. Scroll to the bottom and select About Ulead DVD Movie Factory. A dialoge box will appear. If you have MF4 Disc Creator it will say that.
Hope that helps, btw I'm just a little ways down the Interstate

Re: Novice User trying to link slideshows and audio
Do you want the final DVD to play all the slideshows (in order) after activating the menu? Each slideshows are treated as titles and will be displayed in the main menu as separate buttons (in your case, 3). the default behaviour of the DVD menu in MOvieFActory is to go back to the menu once a slideshow has finished playing. You can change this in the Project Settings (ALT+J) and select "Continue to play Next Clip" in the dropdown list at the bottom. This will make MovieFactory play the slideshow starting from the title you activated in the menu till the end.hplunket wrote:Just purchased DVD MovieFactory 4. There is also a "Play all" button in the DVD menu of MovieFactory. It will play all the clips in order.
it depends on the type of audio format you created. stick with .WAV files. there are different MP3 codecs and some may cause problems in the project you are working on.hplunket wrote:JWe also created a audio file that includes more than one song but MF for some reason won't read the file and we don't know why.
