Newbie help

Post by rayban »

Currently working on a presentation now and just got the software version 9.

My question is I have a ton of pictures but want to Insert a Title but want the title to be 20 seconds and to be able to move all the pictures I have automatically to the right which automatically changes the timeline with the newly added title. I've tried to do this in Ripple Edit mode but I can't get it to work?

What's the best way to Insert images, clips, sound, titles and force all the other items to the right to automatically update the timeline?

Also, when I save my project what is the best quality format yet saving space if being played on a website.

Currently I will be saving this to DVD and running on a DVD player but will also put it on a website.

Thank you!!!

Just insert a still image with a solid color ( background for your tiitle) ahead of the slides and set its duration to 20 seconds, ditto for your title. You will find these in the library under "Color".

DVD quality uses a lot more resolution (and bits) then you want to use on a website. You need to render two entirely separate video files after the editing process. DVD quality is 720x480 frame size & 6 - 8Mbps bitrate, 30 fps, rendered to Mpeg2. Your web site should use far, far less. E.g., 320x240 frame, 15 fps, say, maybe rendered to Mpeg4. Other users can guide you better on Internet standards.
