Crash when sharing

Post by bnigrell »

Hi folks

I have a quite large project (75 mns), in PAL AVI.
When I try to share it, by bits of 10mns, everything goes fine.

Instead, when I try to share it as a whole, with the same parameters, VS9 crashes, just near the end.I get a windows error message

(the output file is created, but is more than corrupted, even explorer cannot manage it. In fact explorer itsel crashes when I go to this directory. I had to back to the old friend DOS, in order to delete this damned file).

Is it a size problem ? or any other idea of how I could render my whole project?

Thanks for your inputs

Hi bnigrell

We need a lot more information before anyone can offer any help.

What version of video studio are you using.?

When you say ‘Share’ do you mean ‘Create Video File’ or ‘Create Disc’?

How did you capture your Pal-Avi ?
What are the clip properties of your Pal-Avi?
What are your Project Properties?

Have you read the ‘Recommended Procedure’ from the top posting, this will give you some important information and direction for your working process.

Hope this Helps

I have followed carefully the recommended procedure.
As mentionned I am using VS 9.
I did use the create video file option.

my clips are already edited clips - and produced by VS9 itself with the same method.

parameters are PAL DV- 720x576
project properties are the same.
