Audio out of sync with Video

I recently downloaded a trial version of Moviefactory. I am pulling in recrdings from a Set top DVD recorder on DVD -RW disc. I used Movie factory to remove the adverts. I have done this successfully and burned the edited program back on to the DVD. However on playback the audio is completely out of synchronisation. Any ideas how to fix this?

IF you do a search of the DVDMoviefactory forum for 'synch' you will turn up 15 threads on the subject. I think from memory some success has been had by exporting the video and then re-importing to a new project.
