Why MovieFactory only goes to 99 chapters?

I have the Moviefactory 3 and had captured about one hour twenty minutes of video. However, when I click on scene detection to split the video into chapters, moviefactory gave me an error that stated that it only goes to 99 chapters and that the rest will be discarded.

Will someone please let me know how to remedy this problem. Thanks.

Took my new DVD camcorder on a week-long trip. Used the camera to briefly view sights and ended up with 201 different scenes. Would like to be able to join these videos and then put chapters in. It won't allow me to join the videos. Don't want to have to put this 1 hour video on two dvds. Any help?

The maximum number of chapters with ANY DVD authoring tool is
99 chapters per 1 title, max 99 titles

Yes, my camera records straight to the new mini-dvd's. I went on a long trip and used five of them to record the whole trip (as you probably know, they only hold 20 minutes each). I used a DVD-RW on the DVD-VR setting. When I import the videos, each time I shut it off comes in as a separate video. No big deal, but I ended up with 201 separate scenes. MF4 will not allow me to join the videos in the Create DVD menu. I thought that if I could join the videos, then I could make one big movie and put my own chapter points in. No such luck yet. Any help is really appreciated!

Great help. Really appreciate your time. One problem. When I go to Create DVD---DVD-V, it does not give me a join icon. Used to, but now, instead of "join" it is "export". I am experimenting with DVD-VR - it still has a join icon, but my program freezes up almost everytime I try to import it. Argh. Thanks so much!
