DVD Menu Plug-in 2.0 problem
Thanks very much Steve,
very great work. I just took a quick look and will examine it in detail next weekend. I thought that the plugin would do something special (i.e. something which could not be done with PI alone e.g. modifying file format). But as far as I understood from just overviewing your doc, you dont need the plugin at all.

DVD Menu Plugin
Visit the website again, there's no where in the page it says this. You are twisting the words mentioned in the Ulead website.well yes, I didn't have the latest patch for DVDWS because I don't do DLT, but I did download it and install it. it says this on the webpage:
NOTE: The PhotoImpact® Menu Plug-in is only supported by PhotoImpact® 8 and later versions. You must also download and install the latest PhotoImpact patch and the latest DVD Workshop patch before installing the Menu Plug-in.

I was just about to post an extra piece of information regarding the DVD Menu Plug in: Well here it is
Installing the Ulead DVD Menu Plug in 2.0
Download and install the following zip file.
http://www.steve-jones.pwp.blueyonder.c ... lug_in.zip
To work correctly you must have Photo Impact 11 installed in the default installation directory. Unzip the file to C: and ensure you have the “Use Folder Names” box ticked.
When you re-start Photo Impact 11 you will find the DVD Menu plug in located under the “Effect” list on the toolbar.
Highlight Images.
For a “Home Made” Highlight Image to work correctly you must make sure that you have converted the “Object Type” to become a “Path Object”
Background Video/Audio
You can have a moving background video rather than a simple background image.
You can do this easily with the DVD Menu Plug in.
On the “Assign Object Name” Tab drill down the list on the right until you arrive at “IMG_BG” and click the entry.
Now on the Bottom left of the Dialog box
Object Class = Background
Item = Background Image.
2 drop down boxes now appear where you can select a video to be used as your backdrop. If this video also contains sound you do not need to select anything in the second drop down box “Background Audio.”
Ah well..... I shall put it into a bit more detail later on but my wife has told me I'm sitting at the computer too much and have to paint the ceiling

See you all soon.
