I just installed the trial version of Movie Factory, went to run it (after rebooting ofcourse) and when I try to run it, it says my trial period has expired!
I cannot even try out the software I just installed.
One option is to re-install, but I don't want to have to reboot again.
Any other suggestions to get this resolved?

Once it thinks your trial period has expired, you're screwed.
It leaves some secret trial behind, so that you can't just re-install every 30 days.
I'm sure there is a "hack" to get around this... but I don't know what it is. I suspect that Ulead won't tell you for fear that you'll spread the secret around. And, I'm not sure but I don't think Ulead support will even respond until you actually buy the software.
The only way that I know of is to back-up, re-format your hard drive, and re-install Windows and all of your applications. Depending on your technical expertese & confidance... this might not be worth the risk! Is that what you meant by "but I don't want to have to reboot again."? "Re-boot" just means to power-down and then re-start.
Or, maybe you can try it out on a another computer if you have access to one. But, then you still won't know if it will work on your computer!

Thanks for the reply! I guess this means I have to uninstall the software.DVDDoug wrote:Once it thinks your trial period has expired, you're screwed. It leaves some secret trial behind, so that you can't just re-install every 30 days.
