Videographics Lab : the 2 programs do not run

Post by gigi10 »

Hello,

Last month, the 27th, I bought, downloaded and installed Videographics Lab => both programs run OK.
Today, I got USMP8 (box version), installed it and tested it => OK
But, now, CG Infinity and Videopaint do not respond anymore.

Thinking perhaps Videographics Lab must be installed after UMSP8, I uninstalled, and re-installed it.
=> no result, when I clik on each of the both programs, nothing happens.

What is the problem ? Has anybody a solution ?

No solution, navré, but if I were you i would uninstall MSP8 AND VL, erase every reference you can find to either anywhere on the computer (Search for MSP8, 8.0 and videographics). I would then do the same for every key in the registry (Registrar Lite is a good, free, tool for this as you can find all references to anything in a list; you select all and delete -- saves hours doing it in Regedit.) Only then re-install MSP, then VL.

Have you tried system restore? Just a thought. Saved my day once when I had a similar problem.

I've tried what Devil wrote : that did not work, probably not seen all the keys concerned.
The solution of Wontope is the best : restoring the system at a date before the 1st install of VGL.
Problem solved.
Thank you.
