Coverting to .avi format freezes

Post by skyrocket71 »

Good day,

Whenever I convert a long video sequence (10 min or more) in .avi format (720x480) during the conversion, after about half way the procedure freezes. the image just freeze. Is there a reason why it freezes? Is it because I have a limited version?

P.S I have the DVD MF Version SE 1.0

That system should not have a problem. How much free space on the HDD's? When did you defrag last? Where does your swapfile reside, what size? Clip properties and project settings?

This is NOT a limitation of the trial software.

AVI comes in lots of formats. If this is DV/AVI from a digital camera, I wouldn't expect any problems. If it's DivX/AVI... everybody seems to have problems with that. :(

 Ooooh. I didn't see that! That's old AND limited. (But, it shouldn't limit the time of your video.) I suggest downloading the 30-day free trial version ofMovie Factory 4. If you do, don't forget to download the User's Manual too.
