Hello
I am using VS 9.
It appears that when I create the rendered file (share menu) VS invents some frames. Those frames are one or two at a time. They belong to my clips, but they never happen when I review my project through the editing mode.
example : I have sequence AAA and sequence BBB.
In the edit mode, I can see AAA-BBB
In the final result I found : AAA-C-BBB where C is a single frame that is not belonging to AAA or BBB !
Means that VS, when calculating the output file, is doing something wrong with its pointers, and takes this c image from elsewhere.
Does someone know this problem ? How to fix or to turnaround ?
Thanks for you help.
wrong frames appear in the rendered file

Try expanding the timescale (slider control on left) in the timeline display and examine the sequence AAACBBB. You may find that there is a snippet of a video file left over from editing.
BTW, you may also find that "C" is a single frame stuck on the end of either the A or B sequence by stepping through frame-by-frame (use up/down arrow controls the lower right of the preview window) at either end of A or the beginning of B

Hi Trevor & Ken
Both your questions are very relevant and amazing when we link the two of them. Look at the following.
Lengths of project are different :
1. in the edit mode, on the timeline it's 1:11:05:03
2. in the edit mode, just near the clock sign in top left corner, its 1:11:05:04
3. in the rendered file, it's 1:11:05:04
As far as where frame C is coming from :
frame C is part of my original videoclip (my tape capture). And is just the image before BBB !
As if, as one frame is missing somewhere (probably at the end of AAA), VS takes it where it can i.e. before BBB.
How can this happen ?

Hi
Hate to disappoint you but the lengths are exactly the same.
When you view the length of a clip the first frame is numbered one (1) Top left.
When you view the project duration the first frame is numbered zero (0)
Hence the counter below the preview screen will be one frame behind.
When you return to the beginning of the project although the counter reads zero, you can still see the first frame in the preview window.
Ok so you haven’t lost any frames, I can only assume you have cut the video in the wrong place, leaving behind the unwanted frames.
In Timeline View
To the left of the timeline rule is a slider that controls the zoom of the timeline, you can zoom in to view one frame at a time,
Hope this Helps
