Error Creating Video File

Post by MailTruck »

I am using the trial version of MSP8 and have a problem. I'm trying to create a video file using the DVD template which uses Dolby Digital Stereo. I am unable to create a video file due to the error: Failed to open MPEG encoder. Is there a problem with the trial versions? Anyone know how to fix this? TIA

I got it working by choosing a lower audio sampling rate (or whatever it's called). I don't remeber what I had it set at exactly, but I lowered it to 224.

For 2.0 AC-3, there is nothing to be gained by bitrates more than 192 kbit/s -- unless you're a bat. In any case, AC-3 is a darn good compression system, but it IS a compression system and that means that something is being lost in the audio, so you cannot expect CD quality, no matter what your input audio is or how good your playback system is. With a typical compression ratio of 8:1 for a stereo signal, something has to give.
