Can't Publish MPEG!

Post by ScottMc »

I've had MSP8 for a few weeks and it's been working great. However, I've now created a 3 minute project that I can't publish in MPEG. I can create video files in WMV, etc., but when I attempt to create a video file in MPEG for a DVD, it just flashes the preview pop-up window for a split second, then closes. No error, no file created... nothing! MSP8 is still running -- but it just won't create a video file for MPEG for this project.

Any ideas? I find this very frusterating since I didn't have any problems with the first few test projects I made last week.

After playing with it more, I found that it might have something to do with the audio tracks.

I have 2 audio tracks (music) and if I remove both of them (so there is no audio in the project), it will create a video file. If either of the audio files are in the project, it crashes when I attempt to create an MPEG.

Removing the video files doesn't have any affect at all.

This doesn't make sense. :(

In your MPEG Template options, check the audio sampling rate ( or something like that). Make sure it is set to 224. Something lower, 192, may work, but don't go higher.

I don't know if this is relevant to your problem, but it fixed a problem I had trying to create an mpeg file.
