Uninstalling VS6

Post by rctfdd »

Have tried to uninstall VS6 several times. The uninstaller goes through all the screen and tells me the program is uninstalled - but it isn't! Any way to "hammer" this program off my lap top; I don't use the lap top for video editing and can use the space.

Well, I realise that this suggestions isn't very helpful - but I can't resist :-)

The biggest "hammer" I know of is to re-image your notebook. Personally I love big hammers - the bigger the better, so I have image files of my notebook installation (using Norton Ghost) and re-image on a regular basis - especially when I have an unruly application!

Why can't you just do a search of your laptop for anything with "Ulead" or "VideoStudio" in it - then delete it. After that run a registry clean up utility to tidy up any left over links/files.
