Making tween effect stay transparent

Post by Red-x »

I've been trying to figure this out forever now.

When I use the tween effect, the gif stays transparent.

But when I save it, the image that it is fading to becomes white, and doesn't have any transparancy.

Is there a way to get it to stay transparent, or set the color it fades to, so it will match with a website that doesn't have a white background?

Here's what I mean, the image it is fading to is white: Image
(recorded from site with a dark background and imported to gif animator, since it wouldn't be visable on a site with a white/light gray background)

I don't know if this would help but might contribute as well. Try this link:

Thank you for the reply, bryave.

I read over that, and I still don't see a way to keep it from fading to white. :?

In the Optimization tab, there is a thing called "Matte." Click there, and change the matte color to the same color as your background (dark blue.) See if that helps.
