No Audio

Post by sportswizdan »

Hi all, just a quick question here. I dont have ANY audio sound when VS8 is in the capture mode when I have my TV on thru the internal video capture card. The audio works fine if i"m capturing thru my DV camcorder. I really dont capture TV off my video card thru VS8, if I want to do that, I use "media Center" to record all my TV stuff. Also, media center and all my other programs have audio. I was just wondering why there isnt any audio in the capture mode and YES it does recognize my TV capture card...I do get the picture just fine...Any ideas??? Thanks, Dan

No sound

I'm also having a seemingly odd problem with sound. I was using VS7, and capturing from a SonyTRV17. I had no problems at all. It's been a couple of months since I last did any captures. Last night I shot some video, and ran a capture as MPEG. The video is fine, but no sound. I switched over to Adobe Premier, capturing in AVI. That works perfectly.

I'm thinking something must be changed in the VS7 settings, but I can't find anything. I DL'd the VS9 trial. Same deal. No sound in any MPEG configuration. In DV format, if I use DV-1 format, I have good video but no sound. In DV-2 format, it works fine.

Most of the video captures are OK as MPEG's; I don't need AVI. I use the raw MPEG files rather than creating a DVD.

Any ideas as what is going on?

TIA.

Hi

From your PC’s audio properties make sure that ‘line–in’ is selected as the record option.

Right click on the loudspeaker icon in your task bar, select ‘open volume control’
