No sound on burned DVD with DVD player

Hello all, I am a newbie trying to burn his first DVD from captured video. I am using VideoStudio8 and videos captued in the MPG format.

The DVD I burn does not play any sound on the DVD player connected to my TV. Actually there is sound but it is very, very low volume. The DVD plays and sounds fine in my PC.

I suspect it is the format of the audio files on the DVD. My DVD player is an older version and does not support the MPEG format.

How can I make sure I am buring the DVD with LPCM format and is there a way to tell what audio format is on the DVD?
