Hello Everyone - another dumb question probably.
I have two DVD burners in the PC.
When I insert a DVD I have burned from VHS (my own stuff - no copyright issues), I explore the disk, copy the relevant files to the hard disk or desktop, then re-name from vob to mpg (great tip which I found on this site Heinz-Oz I believe). I can then edit them on MSP7.
However, with the same disk, when I put it in the newer, faster DVD Burner (a Philips 1640 16x) I get an error message saying "disk is not formatted. Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk may be corrupted, or it could be using a format not compatible with windows"
The DVDs have been copied from VHS sing an LG DVD Recorder and the same make VHS, both new, and the DVDs are finalised as required. I am using DVD-R which is compatible with the both Philips and Sony burners.
Any clues as to why this should be? I know its not life and death as I can use the Sony, but it is a pain, and I'm getting very old waiting for the Sony to copy the files over.
Help would be much appreciated!
