I'm currently experiencing this (or a similar) problem.
The actual application for Videostudio will begin to load, but quits shortly after with an error message, which is directly as follows:
I'm experiencing similar problems on some other editing programs (namely Adobe Premier Elements) but the problems for those may stem from a different source, while other editing programs seem to work just fine (Vegas 6, WMM).
Are there any other possible problems/solutions that I could try? Of course, I've uninstalled and re-installed the program a number of times with no effect. I also don't seem to have any instances of LAME mp3 programs installed, and I cannot reinstall the OS because it is a shared computer.

Now I've done a fair bit of digging, and determined that the problem most likely stems from an overabundance of directshow filters on the system. Only thing is, I have no idea how to modify or clean out the unused filters, so I can't come up with a solution in that respect.AppName: vstudio.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.0 ModName: ffdshow.ax
