VS 9 Playback Speed Feature

Post by kayd »

I often use background music to accompany slide shows of still images. I was really looking forward to the playback speed adjustment with VS9, to help synchronize sound and music without having to individually adjust a bizillion slides by .05 seconds to get the end of the music to match the end of the slide show.

I use WAV files for the music in my VS9 projects.

My problem is, when I adjust the playback speed of the music clip, even a small amount, the sound gets scratchy and jumps back and forth from right to left speaker while previewing in VS9, and on the finished DVD. This happens when adjusting to 95%, or 105%, for example, even though this seems to be well within the capabilities suggested by the documentation.

As long as I leave playback speed at 100%, the music is fine.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Kay

Try this....

1. Output your soundtrack to a sound file.
2. Delete the soundtrack
3. Import the new soundtrack from 1.
4. Adjust the length of the video track to match.
