Does anyone use a Plextor capture device w/ Video Studio 8?

I am using plexittor with vs7. I seems to work fine. I am using windows media 10 to burn CD and VS7 to burn DVD .

I found the software tutorial offered on this website to be an hour well spent. I was ready to loose my mind ....until I did that tutorial.

It still boggles the mind that video is so deeply mired in technical jargon. The tech weenies need a lesson in relating to the outside world.

I have a plextor convert x and will only work with the supplied software which is win dvd creator2. Ulead Video Stucio8 does not recognise this device. When in capture mode and you try to access the plextor device it will usually crash.
i recommend you capture with the plextor software and then transfer your file to Ulead for authoring and outputting to dvd, as its much better than win dvd creator2.

Do they work well together?

I own the Plextor PX-TV402U..After spending hours trying to get the capture to work, I called Ulead tech support.. They said the I would need drivers to make Ulead MovieFactory 3 from Plextor to make it work, and naturally Plextor don't offer drivers for this software.

I have been using a Plextor 708A with Ver. 8 for eight or nine months. It's clean, quiet with no problems at all. Love it.
