When capturing from a analog videocamera I seem to lose frames.
When looking at the captured film I see in the time below that I always miss a part from
hh:mm:ss:24 till hh:mm:ss:59
Result a shocking video.
What can I do to prevent this...
capture lost
What type of capture device are you using? How is it connected to the PC? (Internal card, USB-2, or Firewire? USB-1 is too slow. Lot's of people also have trouble with USB-2.)
Are you capturing with Movie Factory, or some other special-purpose software that came with your capture device?
Do you have a fast computer? Does it meet the capture-device manufacturer's minimum specs?
What video-format are you capturing to? Capture to AVI. Don't capture to MPEG unless you have a capture device with a built-in MPEG encoder. MPEG takes lots of CPU power, so it's not unusual to drop frames if your CPU is encoding to MPEG in real-time while you capture.
