Just an update. The ENS text tool fault still occurs. With regard to PhotoImpact 11 'being a stable program', I know of no other software which prevents a user from typing three simple letters. My laptop has a 2.8ghz processor with 512mb of DDR ram and 20gb of free space. Although 2 years old, I reckon it has enough processing power to deal with PI 11.
I would have thought this software would have been tested on various machines to test for faults before release. Generally my PC is very stable, its well maintained and the software correctly installed. Perhaps Microsoft will tire of receiving error reports and get in touch with you?

Have you tried reloading the workspace? Click on My Workspace and choose a profile you want. When asked to save the current setting choose "no".

Man, this is frustrating! Here are the events of my last half-hour:
1. Start PI11. Crash
2. Restart PI11. I'm in. Open tiff file to make small edit. Make edit. Crash. Lose edit.
3. Restart PI11. Crash.
4. Restart PI11. Crash.
5. Restart PI11. I'm in. Redo tiff edit as fast as I can and save. Close image. Close PI11. Close hangs until I close through Task Manager.
