Hi! UVS8 user of long standing! Bought the Download UVS9 Upgrade plus Backup CD Version. Installed download and after a crash had to use backup CD to reinstall. Practically all the Sample files disappeared, with the exception of those I physically brought in from UVS8. I never received a 'Content' CD with purchase. Can anyone assist a silly old fart who's probably doing it all wrong. Many thanks in anticipation.

There is not a Content CD, just the main program. The content is downloaded through Ulead's brilliant smart download, which isn't that smart.
You can try to download them using Smart Download or if that doesn't work
