subtitles to translate a foreign language speech
I work on a war video where an Israeli commander speaks in hebrew to the troops. I like to design a running subtitles in English translating the speechlike the one used in foreign film or the ticker used in news channel. I like to copy and paste rather than type it. Any advice?

There is a 30 day trial of DVD Workshop.
Seems like you have something you can try it out with.
Alternatively to use the "ticker tape" option you mention.

Hi
Cannot help with the translation.
You can use VS to create a tickertape type title.
1 / Select the Title tab from the top menu tabs.
2/ Select ‘multiple titles’
3/ Double click the preview screen
4/ In the right edit panel select ‘text backdrop’ Click the ‘T’icon--change the colour as you wish.
5/ Set the title duration to match the speech and number of words.
6/ Copy and paste your text to the screen. (You will have to remove the carriage returns within the text)
7/ Use Ctr +A to select all then adjust your ‘font sizes’
8/ Click the ‘animation tab’
9/ Tick ‘apply animation’
10/ Select ‘ Fly’ as type from the type box
11/ Click the two ‘TT’s’ icon for more options.
12/ Select your entry and exit points.
Good luck
Trevor
