Capture failed - file may be corrupt - error 13011

I have a new P4 3.2GHz and a Cannon DV camera with passthrough. I have been successfully capturing AVI this way for years on my old system. Same O/S - XP2, lots of space and grunt. I can successfully capture MPEG 'on the fly', as before but when I try and capture directly to AVI, after about 20 seconds of no capture at all, the above message turns up. I am coming in through Firewire as before, but with a different card - could this be the problem? Looking through other posts, which is difficult as you cannot go back to the search results after each browse, I can find no agreed solution to this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

One more thing to add. Ever since I got this new system I have been unable to 'stop capture' by just clicking on it. I have to disconnect the firewire before MF4 responds. Thanks
