Activating VideoGraphics Lab?

I purchased the MSP 8 upgrade with the VideoGraphics Lab special offer.
Being that I am on dial-up I ordered the back up disk for it which came today. Problem is, I didn't have an activiation key sent with it, nor do I find one in the e-mails telling me where to download. I tried the reference number on the disk and the cd key from MSP 8, no dice. Anyone know what I have missed?

I ordered the downloaded version. I don't recall an activation code either but I didn't have any problem in installing it on my computer. I had installed Media Studio pro 8 1st. I don't know whether that makes any difference.

From Uleads FAQ:

"*Note: On Oct 6, 2005, all download versions were updated to Offline Serial Number Activation . After purchasing, you will receive an email containing the program download link and a serial number to activate the program during the installation process. The new mechanism DOES NOT REQUIRE Internet access during the activation process."

When I ordered VGL I received an email with the following subject line:

"Download link and license key for Ulead VideoGraphics Lab (Retail/ESD) - Special offer for MediaStudio Pro 8 users "

Inside that email was a section entitled: How to activate VideoGraphics Lab.

You should find the activation code there.

If you didn't receive that email you should be able to logon to your account on the element 5 web-site and bring up the information about your order. Your activation key should be listed there also.

Thanks for replies, advise from here has saved my bacon a few times, even before I registered. MSP 8 was installed & registered first, so that can't be it. I did not recieve that e-mail, (even checked junk mail & trash bin). I got one with the download link, but no activiation #. Checked on-line in my account, but could not find it. It shows paid & shipped but no activiation #(did I miss it?) so I e-mailed Ulead...
we'll see. Hate to think I paid all that $$ for a demo disk.

Ulead software has been great for me but I really dislike buying from element 5 - it's always something. For us "country folks" with no chance of DSL in my lifetime these huge downloads are just impossible. Who can stay hooked up for 12 hours? (VideoGraphics Lab download estimate) eeegads

Thank goodness for CD on demand, or I never would get this stuff. Last time got the code, but no disk for three months. Sigh.
