Video w/ LPCM has no audio in WMP10

Post by Telgaladhion_Greyskye »

This is weird. LPCM's such a common audio format, WMP10's supposed to support it. I tried it on my friend's computer and it plays okay. I don't recall changing any of WMP10's settings. Oh, and I'm into VS9.

My video's specs:

MPEG-2, Lower, 720x480, 4:3, 29.97, vbr - 8000kbps
LPCM Audio, 3,656,456 Samples, 48KHz, 16bit, Stereo

My computer's specs - although I don't think this is a factor:

P4 2.26GHz, 512RAM, 160GB - C:\ = 30 free, 50 used | D:\ = 40 free, 40 used - working folder set at D:\

Am I in the twilight zone? Somebody wake me up! (Or I'm probably just wasted to realize what I'm doin' wrong)

Hi
Ding, dong

Something on my pc, vs, Ati capture card, whatever has a conflict with my audio driver.
Yesterday I lost audio from the capture process from my tv tuner, everything else worked fine, just no sound when trying to capture from my tv tuner.

This is a regular occurrence, I am getting used to it. Wish I could find the culprit.
It usually happens when testing capture settings, switching capture on and off a few times causes me problems.

Anyhow

I re-installed my audio driver, and sound again.

Changed LPCM to AC3 - worked like a charm. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? I'm gonna try out that audio driver reinstallation thingy, see if it'll smack some sense to my WMP10. Thanks.
