I have just burned my first DVD with Movie Factory 4 Trial and when I played it on my DVD player the speech is distorted, but when I play it through the PC it is ok. Dvds I have made with other programs have not had this problem.
I like the programas it is easy to use and faster than others I have tried.
There are 3 valid DVD audio formats. NTSC (North America) DVD players must play LPCM and AC3. PAL (Europe) DVD players must play LPCM and MPEG.
What is the source format? When I used a source file with MPEG-2 audio, and made an AC3 DVD, I got distortion. I reduced the level to 75% and it seemed OK.... Weird!
I tried to reduce the level to 75% but couldn't find out where to. I found on the burn screen "Normalize Audio" and ticked that and then burned the DVD. This solved the problem and the sound is ok.
