If you have a file that is in 24 or 23.976 fps progressive and you want to put it on DVD using MediaStudio 8.0, what is the best way to do that? When encoding in MPEG I can only render at 29.97 fps. This results in kind of jerky movement sometimes.
Thanks

I was mainly referring to the pulldown options. I am quite confused by this cause listed there are 2:3 pulldown and 3:2 pulldown. Which do you use when going from 23.976 to 29.97 and what do you set the frame rate option to be when applying the pulldown 23.976 or 29.97? I tried to do one conversion using the pulldown and got a message could not open encoder. Then, I went back to advance options again and it was greyed out, eventhough I had it set on MPEG-2 instead of NTSCDVD. My other quiestion is when you first open the advance tab options, on the right is a white box with your settings and it says 29.97 (auto pulldown), so is it going to automatically apply a pulldown anyhow? When I did a straight coversion by just changing the framerate, it looks okay, but it seems to be slightly jerky when things are being panned from side to side, but especially when titles are moving back like in a slow zoomout motion or zoomin motion. Hope this makes sense!

No matter what I do, I cannot get the pulldown to work under the advance mpeg settings. Why does Ulead not allow the full features of the advance settings? Why are some of these greyed out? These are most useful settings for professionals such as myself. For a professional software, all these settings should be made available. This is a serious defect in MediaStudio 8.0.
