dvds looks like dots
When I down load a movie clip from my jvc mini cam and make a movie useing ulead video studo 7.0,and burn it to a dvd , it looks digital, very grainy, like big dots.It looks fine going from the camara to the tv.It looks fine when I use the software that came with the camara, although that software is tough to use."NOT"user friendly.I tryed a trial ver.8.0 but still looked jerky and digital on the preveiw screen and on a dvd.HELP

Its very rare to get a decent capture with a USB cable
There OK to preview stuff on your screen usually in a window a lot smaller than your monitors full window display.
You need to invest in a firewire cable and if you dont have one a firewire card for it to connect to. The firewire looks and behaves very much like your USB cable.

Right-click on the video clip that was captured from the camera and take a look at the video file properties -- chances are that the video was not transferred using the full DV resolution. Most camcorders only support webcam resolutions (typically 320x240) when you use a USB connection, which would explain the pixelation you are seeing.
