When creating a windows media file from video editor 7 I get an error code stating invalid profile (code 131076:1:4) .. everything else works OK..
I attempt to go into options to customise the profiles and the profiles tab is blank. I can go into customise and all the profiles are there, but cannot save any edit of the profiles. I have tried a reinstall more than once to no avail. Its not the package as i installed on another system to compare and its OK, but on the machine I need it on, I have the problem.
Its a pentium 4 775 3.2GHZ 1gig RAM PCI express system. I originally had windows 2000 prof on it which may have caused the issue as the OS wasn't really compatible with the system anyway, but have upgraded to xp prof sp2 and uninstalled to reinstall, but the error remains.
Is there anyone knowledgeable enough to help with what I need to amend to correct this issue? I have hex editors and can amend any registry setting needed if know what to change exactly..or perhaps move something to another folder?
HELP!
Windows media creation errors in video editor
A priori, from the little detail you give, it would seem that you should reinstall the Windows Media Encoder.
